It's unclear when Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross sleep or eat. The duo are working on a new Nine Inch Nails record alongside Nine Inch Nails' soundtrack for Disney's upcoming TRON movie, and just released their soundtrack for the movie Queer. Amid all that, Reznor and Ross have just announced they're also working on the soundtrack to the upcoming game from Neil Druckmann and Naughty Dog (The Last Of Us, Uncharted, etc.), Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet. I guess what I'm getting at here is that there will be no shortage of Reznor and Ross tunes in 2025, both under their own names and as Nine Inch Nails.
Naughty Dog describes Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet as such: "Set thousands of years in the future, Intergalactic puts players into the role of Jordan A. Mun, a dangerous bounty hunter who ends up stranded on Sempiria – a distant planet whose communication with the outside universe went dark hundreds of years ago. Jordan will have to use all her skills and wits if she hopes to be the first person in over 600 years to leave its orbit."
Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet is currently in development for the PlayStation 5, and has been in the works since 2020.
