Trap Them had been talking about recording a new album late in 2013 for release sometime earlier on in 2014 via Prosthetic Records. They're holding themselves to that promise, because drums are already done, and by a familiar face!
The band took to Facebook to post the above picture along with the caption:
"Drum tracking at God City for the new Trap Them LP is now complete thanks to the incredibly talented & ferocious Brad Fickeisen. Now on to guitars!"
Brad Fickeisen was The Red Chord's drummer from 2004 to 2010 and more recently has been a part of No Salvation. The dude knows a thing or two about the skins.
Trap Them are recording with Converge's Kurt Ballou down at GodCity Studios, which basically means that the new record is going to sound like a twenty-ton bag of twenty tons dropped directly onto your skull. The level of excited I am right now is unparalleled. Consider how great the band's 2011 record Darker Handcraft is and then multiply that by probably a thousand. Yeah.
