Toontrack, the Swedish software company responsible Superior Drummer, EZ Drummer and the EZMix 2 “Metal Gods” expansion pack and your next deathcore EP, have deemed November "Metal Month," but what does that mean exactly?
It means they'll be kicking off the month with a free live Soilwork concert stream from near Toontrack’s headquarters in Umeå, Sweden. You'll be able to watch it on the Toontrack website, where they will also be unveiling EIGHT (!!!) new products geared towards musicians. They are being mum on what those products are but I'm sure we'll find out in no time. Here is a little teaser from their press release:
This year we present new titles that span almost all our product lines. We’ll introduce collaborations with new producers as well as the return of a few of the most popular engineers behind earlier products. There will be new drum sounds, guitar tones and mix tools that I am confident will cater to a broad segment in the metal music community.
I'm really excited to see what's going to happen. Below you'll find a trailer for their Metal Month. And don't forget to enter their crazy-ridiculous contest to shred a solo over a Periphery tune.
