War-obsessed Swedish black metal veterans Marduk have entered the studio to record the follow-up to 2009's Wormwood.
The as-of-yet untitled new album is scheduled to be released in early summer 2012. The band have posted up some teaser pictures of their studio sessions in the "Gallery" section of their official website, and you can check them out by clicking here.
In the mean time, just for you Marduk fanboys out there who can't stop wetting your pants already, Century Media will put out a very limited 12 inch vinyl MLP version of Marduk's latest EP, Iron Dawn.
On a less related note, Marduk will be playing their hometown for the first time in a long while as well.
As taken from their Facebook wall post:
Its with great satsifaction we can announce that on the 28th of April, Marduk will be doing their first performance in home town Norrköping for over 12 years. The venue will be Skandiateatern.
I couldn't help but include this picture into this post as well. It is just so Marduk of Marduk to take photos like this.
