Structure Collapses At MORBID ANGEL Show Due To Severe Weather

Update #2: Crypta guitarist Tainá Bergamaschi has confirmed that all the bands playing tonight are safe.

Update #1: Morbid Angel has issued the following statement, saying the show was cancelled due to a tornado in the area: "Tonights show is Canceled due to a Tornado that hit the Venue. We ask anyone who is still traveling to the venue to please seek shelter and stay safe. We are currently sheltering in place, and want to extend our support and hope that everyone at the show tonight is safe.

"Right now our focus is on making sure everyone in the venue tonight is ok and gets home."

Original Story: A structure collapse was reported at the Apollo Theatre in Belvidere, IL tonight during a show featuring Morbid Angel, Revocation, Crypta, and Skeletal Remains. The incident included an awning, partial roof, and partial floor collapse.

According to CBS, the Chicago Fire Department reported that 20 ambulances were requested to arrive at the scene. WTVO further reports that the number of injuries are unknown at this time. The collapse of the structure was due to severe storms in the area with up to 90 mph winds. CBS further reports that trees also came down on cars near the venue and in the area.
