Feel free to cringe.

Calling people out for their band shirts in public is possibly one of the cringiest things any music fan can do. The idea of calling someone out over their shirt has also resulted in the a few memes over the years to the effect of "name X songs by that artist." Hilariously, that exact situation happened to Spiritbox vocalist Courtney LaPlante.

According to her Twitter, LaPlante was in the gym wearing an Every Time I Die shirt when she was stopped by a guy asking if she knew the band. Which is a weird question considering she's wearing their shirt, and Every Time I Die isn't exactly Nirvana levels of merchandise. LaPlante said "no" and so the guy began explaining the band to her… in the middle of the gym. During a workout. Please don't do this.

"I am wearing my tie dye [Every Time I Die] shirt at the gym right now and the guy next to me asked me if I know the band. So I’ve said 'no' and he is now explaining the band to me. Imagine going up to someone and opening by asking if they know what the thing is on the shirt they are wearing.

"I don’t really think about talking about this stuff a lot because I’m not really into engaging on the internet as much these days but sometime I’ll have to tell you all the wild things men say to me."

"I think it’s cool when people ask me about bands when they see my shirt. But this guy didn’t do that he started with 'do you know the band on the shirt your wearing?' ? hahah this kind of stuff happens a lot, but this was very funny so I thought I would share"

LaPlante recently revealed that Spiritbox has eight new songs in the works that are pretty different from Eternal Blue. So here's hoping new material is coming soon?
