Spiritbox made some serious waves with their singles over the years, and then completely broke out with their 2021 record Eternal Blue. Now in an interview with Kerrang!, vocalist Courtney LaPlante reveals that Spiritbox already has eight new songs in the works that are pretty different from Eternal Blue.

"They're really different to the songs on Eternal Blue," said LaPlante. "I think some people might even hate them. But that makes me excited. I thrive on negativity!"

Guitarist Mike Stringer added that it's only logical the new stuff differs from Eternal Blue, as the record was written over the course of two years.

"Eternal Blue spanned over two years. And so much happened over those years. Now we're different people with different tastes and it's nice to be able to sit down and be like, 'What do I want to hear? What do I enjoy?'"

I'm sure whatever Spiritbox comes up with next will be killer. Spiritbox is currently up for two JUNO Awards in both the Breakthrough Group of the Year category and the Metal/Hard Music Album of the Year category for their Eternal Blue record.
