SNOT Reunites With Former Touring Vocalist For Charity Event

Holy old school!

Holy old school!

As a quick recap for those unaware, Snot was a killer hardcore punk-type group back in the 90s that had their career tragically cut short after the death of original vocalist Lynn Strait in a car accident. The band put out one record with Strait, Get Some, in 1997, before he passed in 1998. There was a follow-up record called Strait Up in 2000 that had guest vocal spots for each song as opposed to a dedicated vocalist and a live album called Alive! in 2002.

Such was their career.

Enter vocalist Tommy Vext (ex-Divine Heresy), who performed with the band through 2008 and 2009 during a reunion tour. Vext, along with Papa Roach‘s Jacoby Shaddix, Sevendust‘s Clint Lowery and numerous others, began the charity project SFG12 which deals with victims of substance abuse. SFg12 is also hosting a benefit show at the Whisky in Los Angeles, Ca. come Feb. 11 where- you guessed it!- Snot will be performing for the first time in five years! Should be an awesome show and I'm hoping video will surface of the whole thing!

You can check out some extra information on SFG12 here and watch Vext interview Korn:
