Slipknot vocalist Corey Taylor has posted an old photo of himself with Slipknot's early rhythm section, bassist Paul Gray and drummer Joey Jordison. Gray passed away in 2010 and Jordison suddenly passed last week. Taylor didn't caption the photo, because what is there to say? The trio were in the same band for over a decade and spent an incredible amount of time together. Jordison and Gray were founding members of Slipknot in 1995, and Taylor joined in 1997.
Slipknot has since posted a very touching video tribute to Jordison, which you can watch here.
"Our hearts go out to Joey's family and loved ones at this time of tremendous loss," said Slipknot in their first written statement since Jordison's passing. "Joey Jordison's art, talent, and spirit could not be contained or be held back. Joey's impact on Slipknot, on our lives, and on the music that he loved, is incalculable. Without him there would be no us. We mourn his loss with the entire Slipknot family.
"We love you, Joey."
