Nigel Glockler has drummed on and off for Saxon ever since 1981 and I'm sure the guy has an endless amount of road stories and the associated scars. Now Glockler has another one to add to his repertoire and it involves being drunk and petting a pissed off dog. The drummer didn't go into too much detail, but he did mention that the dog took off nearly half his nose and it took over 100 stitches to reattach what was nearly consumed.
"I was at the pub last night, petting a dog when it decided it did not like my face and took off half my nose. I've had over 100 stitches inside and out of the nose and it's been reattached. Gina says between this and the scar on my scalp I should change my name to FrankenNigel. The good news is no problems for the upcoming shows – see you soon!"
Saxon will tour the United States in February 2019.
