Metallica has something to tell us all, but they're making us wait until Monday to find out.
My first instinct is to guess that they'll be announcing the reissue of …And Justice For All, but they also just announced the reissue of The $5.98 EP – Garage Days Re-Revisited to be out on April 13 and bundling release announcements together like that seems a little weird.
Maybe there's a tour coming later this year? Metallica will be doing some touring throughout Europe in March through May, but after that there's nothing coming up. Oh! maybe they're just messing with us and the announcement is that there's actually going to be bass on the …And Justice For All reissue. Or there's that long-standing rumor of a Lady Gaga collaborative album coming in 2018, though band member reactions to that seemed to be mixed.
Maybe they're just going to wish everyone a Happy Monday. I guess we'll just have to wait and see. It should be noted that the font of the tease is the same font as on their most recent release, Hardwired… to Self-Destruct.
Update: After asking around, the assumption is an announcement of a new North American tour. Woo!
Update 2: A venue in Wichita, KS is also sharing the tease, which lends further credibility to the rumor being a new North American arena tour.
