It looks like Trent Reznor's next project has been revealed, and it's not a new Nine Inch Nails album. Renowned podcaster Jeff Goldsmith revealed on Twitter that he spoke with Fight Club author Chuck Palahniuk, who revealed he's collaborating with Reznor and the movie's director David Fincher on a rock opera version of the film:
So @chuckpalahniuk told me he's working with David Fincher & @trent_reznor to do a #FightClub rock opera – an enhanced version of the film!

"An enhanced version" is what raises my ire. Does this mean it's just going to be a re-release of the movie, or will there be a live performance element to it?
We tried to reach out to Reznor for comment but he just responded saying "The first rule of my new project is I am not allowed to talk about it. The second rule of my new project is I am not allowed to talk about it." All kidding aside, Fight Club is perhaps my favorite movie of all time, so this is certainly something I will keep an eye on. If nothing else, it was an excuse to photoshop Trent Reznor's head onto Brad Pitt's body.
