I've never watched the American version of "The Voice," most likely because it has very little to do with actually good music, and instead is NBC's cash-in on the "American Idol" phenomenon. But, I might tune in to the Polish version. According to this Polish tabloid, Behemoth frontman Nergal has signed on to be a judge. A death metal vocalist a judge in a vocal competition? Sounds awesome. But is it too good to be true?
While this has yet to be confirmed by anybody in the Behemoth camp, I just don't see it. For one thing, the band already has touring lined up in October. Unless the show shoots in just August and Septmeber, Nergal is booked with his day job to work on this. On the other hand, he is a bit of a pop-celebrity in Poland, since dating pop singer Doda, and maybe this could all be true?
We'll find out soon enough. For now, can somebody see if Glen Benton is available to fill in for Steven Tyler on next season's American Idol?
