When Guns N' Roses announced that Slash and Duff McKagan were back in the band, it was a huge deal. The band then announced the Not In This Lifetime Tour, a name referencing numerous comments made by Slash and vocalist Axl Rose over the years that they'd never get back together, which quickly became one of the highest-grossing tours of all time.
Still, some fans were wondering if we'd ever see a full Appetite for Destruction lineup reunion. The reunion has intermittently included performances by drummer Steven Adler, who was more than happy to join the band and had been cheerleading for the occasion for years. Guitarist Izzy Stradlin has not joined the band at all. When asked, Stadlin said his decision was based on financial disputes. Well, perhaps it seems those disputes have been settled.
With GNR running the well dry on the Slash and Duff reunion, and needing a new added bonus to get those massive guarantees, it now looks like they are teasing the Appetite for Destruction lineup full reunion.
According to a billboard spotted in the Camden section of London by Alternative Nation and a new splash page from the band's label Universal Music, which says "Destruction Is Coming" would lead one to believe that perhaps the band will be setting up a tour where they play Appetite in full. That's just us speculating.
It seems safe to say that the five could be getting together for a reunion show or tour (during a reunion tour), or maybe they'll all five be hitting the studio to record a new album? Could be both. If this reunion does happen, this will be the first time since 1990 that this lineup is back together, and frankly will probably shatter quite a few financial records in terms of ticket sales and/or album sales.
