Mike Portnoy began teasing a new progressive supergroup a few weeks ago, though he wouldn't tell anyone who was in the band just yet. Now in a rumor perpetuated by Blabbermouth on the basis that Portnoy keeps deleting comments concluding who the members are, we may have an answer – ex-Dream Theater keyboardist Derek Sherinian and ex-Guns N' Roses guitarist Ron "Bumblefoot" Thal.
For those unaware, Sherinian was Dream Theater's keyboardist from 1995 to 1998. He rejoined forced with Portnoy in 2012 with PSMS, which also Billy Sheehan and Tony MacAlpine, so the idea that the two would have another group together isn't entirely farfetched.
All shall be revealed soon… ish. Probably.
