Rumors of a new AC/DC record have been floating around quite a bit in 2019. Bassist Cliff Williams may be involved with the new material despite having departed the band in 2016, and vocalist Brian Johnson certainly seems to be back as well. It also helps that Guns N' Roses guitarist Slash also seems to think that all these things are true. Now according to Topeka, Kansas radio station V100, AC/DC is planning a tour for 2019 and 2020, presumably to support the album.
In a report published by Blabbermouth, no official confirmation of the tour has yet surfaced, but the station is citing a close source of the band.
"Obviously, we're talking about the music biz here, [so] things could change. But, right now that's what we've been told … It's been rumored for months now that [Johnson] been working with the band and we've been told those rumors are true. Brian has been working special in-ears made for his performances so that he can continue to perform without causing any more damage to his hearing than he already has."
The album will also reportedly feature guitar tracks recorded by Malcolm Young prior to his passing in 2017. Keep in mind all these things are rumors, and while they are being reported from reputable sources, are still rumors.
