This year's Rock and Roll Hall of Fame event has officially been cancelled and replaced with a TV special. The special will air on HBO and will be available to stream on HBO Max come November 7 at 8pm ET/PT. This year's inductees will be Nine Inch Nails, The Doobie Brothers, Depeche Mode, The Notorious B.I.G., T. Rex, and Whitney Houston.

"To protect the health and safety of our Inductees, their families, crews and our attendees, we've made the decision that the scheduled live event is not possible," said John Sykes, chairman of the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame Foundation, "Together with HBO and executive producer Joel Gallen, we will still create an exciting program honoring our 2020 inductees, by telling the stories of their incredible contributions to music and impact on a generation of artists that followed them."

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame has been reopened with precautions as of June 15. The hall still plans on resuming normal in-person events for inductees come 2021.
