Parkway Drive originally released its album Ire in September 2015, and from what I recall it was a pretty cool album. From a band that's well-known for being a bit of a metalcore band, Parkway Drive really covered a lot more ground with Ire and did so extremely well.
The band is now digitally reissuing the record with a few bonus tracks, one of which is the song "Devil's Calling," which you can hear below. Metal Hammer also got a hold of frontman Winston McCall, who offers some interesting insight on the record as well.
“We had a band meeting, and it turned out all of us were thinking the same thing: none of us would get creative fulfillment out of writing another Parkway metalcore album. It was a really odd point to be at. We didn’t want to stop what Parkway was about, but at the same time there had to be a different way of doing it."
Ire is now available through all major digital retail outlets.
