NINE INCH NAILS Confirms World Tour, Delays Announcement Due To LA Fires

It's unclear when the announcement will happen.

Nine Inch Nails

Yesterday, rumors ran rampant that Nine Inch Nails would be announcing a world tour named the Peel It Back World Tour sometime this week. The rumors started after some shows dates and ticket sale dates leaked out, seemingly confirmed by sites like StubHub. Nine Inch Nails has now confirmed that yes, they are going on a world tour; and no, they're not announcing the trek right now due to the horrific wildfires in Los Angeles.

"SINCE SOME DATES AND INFORMATION ABOUT OUR WORLD TOUR HAVE LEAKED WE ARE CONFIRMING THAT YES WE WILL BE TOURING AND WILL PROVIDE MORE DETAILS SOON," wrote Nine Inch Nails on their Instagram. "WE ARE ALL WATCHING THE DEVASTATION THAT IS UNFOLDING IN CALIFORNIA AND HAVE PAUSED OUR ANNOUNCEMENT WHILE PEOPLE TRY TO DEAL WITH ALL THAT IS HAPPENING."

So far the three dates that have leaked out are:

8/23 Toronto, ON Scotiabank Arena
8/31 Cleveland, OH Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse
9/10 Tampa, FL Amalie Arena

On the fires, The Official Website of the City of Los Angeles has set up a resource center for anyone in the area affected, or for anyone who wants to help out residents of the city who are suffering. That resource center can be found here.

The current assumption is that the tour will coincide with a new record. The next Nine Inch Nails record will be their first since Bad Witch in 2018, or their first since the double ambient project of Ghosts V: Together and Ghosts VI: Locusts in 2020.

On the new material, all we know is that Nine Inch Nails mastermind Trent Reznor confirmed it was happening in a December 2024 interview with The Hollywood Reporter, saying: "We're taking the inspiration we've garnered and funneling it into a Nine Inch Nails project, which we're working on now. We're ready to be back in the driver's seat."
