Longtime Nazareth vocalist Dan McCafferty has died at 76 years old. McCafferty was one of the band's co-founders in 1968 and sang on Nazareth's hits "Hair of the Dog" and "Love Hurts." McCafferty fronted Nazareth until 2013, and released his final solo album Last Testament in 2019.

Nazareth bassist Pete Agnew confirmed McCafferty's death earlier today. "Dan died at 12:40 today. This is the saddest announcement I ever had to make. Maryann and the family have lost a wonderful loving husband and father, I have lost my best friend and the world has lost one of the greatest singers who ever lived. Too upset to say anything more at this time."

We wish McCafferty's friends and family all the best at this time.
