Motorhead's 2013 was filled with ups and downs. They released a new album, Aftershock, which was a solid piece of Motorhead riffage, so that was good. But, a ton of health problems plagued Lemmy, between suffering from diabetes, a defibrilator installed, and dealing with a bout of hematoma, it wasn't the best year for him
But Lemmy says he's cleaned up his act, stopped smoking and drinking (other than red wine, he's not a monster) and the band is ready to make a comeback.
Their first official performance is set for the California desert as part of the Coachella festival. Other notable rock acts include Muse and Queens of the Stone Age. Outkast is reuniting, if you're into that sort of thing as well. The entire lineup can be found here.
With the band's first new show in the books, it's only a matter of time until more touring is announced. Lemmy lives on the road, and I can't imagine him spending much of 2014 at home, especially if he's feeling better.
