Modern Drummer has announced their Neil Peart Spirit of Drumming Scholarship in honor of the late and great Rush drummer. The scholarship was originally announced at the 2020 Modern Drummer Festival by Neil's wife Carrie Nuttall-Peart, and will provide the recipient with:
- A full 52 weeks of free drum lessons from world-class drum instructor Dom Famularo
- A one year subscription to Modern Drummer All Access
- And a handful of Rush albums from Universal Music Enterprises
Applicants must be between the ages of 14 and 21, not a professional musician, and is "not a party to any sponsorship or entertainment contract that, in Modern Drummer’s judgment, conflicts with the spirit of the scholarship." Apply here.
