METALLICA’s Ride The Lightning Reimagined As A Series Of Brutal Oil Paintings

After the successful debut release based on Metallica’s Kill ‘em All, Colombian painter Felipe Mora’s DEALING OUT THE AGONY 2 has returned for another beautifully brutal collection based on the groups electric sophomore release Ride The Lightning.

It will look and feel like a vinyl record – but inside will contain eight 12×12 inch prints of pure visual violence and mayhem. Dealing Out The Agony will become the perfect accompaniment to the music itself. Pour over the artworks as the music fills your ears, stick them on a shelf with all your other vinyls – literally limitless opportunities of fun is ready to be had!

60% of all Dealing Out the Agony profits will be donated (with an initial $1000 starting point donation) to the Children Hospital of San Vicente Foundation to help improve the quality of care and life expectancy of children dealing with cancer in Colombia.

Bangladesh born executive producer of the project, KroneMonkey notes “I’ve always been fascinated in album artworks and its importance in heightening the listener’s experience. Cover art remains a vital space to grab attention, contextualize a song, or tell the story of a whole album. So we wanted to expand on this idea – taking iconic albums and giving each song on the album its own visual identity. Felipe Mora has set the standard.”
