Metallica has launched a brand new shirt design to benefit the World Central Kitchen's Chefs For Ukraine campaign. The shirt is available here for $39.99, with all proceeds being donated to the campaign through Metallica's All Within My Hands foundation as a part of their Month of Giving. In addition, Metallica has also donated $500,000 to World Central Kitchen alongside an extra $100,00 as part of a grant.
"World Central Kitchen believes that food is a universal human right," said the band. "Their #ChefsForUkraine campaign is doing incredible work to fulfill this mission, and since February 24, 5 million meals have already been served to refugees across six countries. They work fast and are nimble, and what they do speaks to the heart of All Within My Hands' mission in the fight against hunger."
"The work that Chef José Andrés and the dedicated World Central Kitchen cooks do on the frontlines in a humanitarian crisis is nothing short of incredible. We are inspired, humbled, and beyond proud to support their teams currently in six European countries serving the millions of Ukrainians who have been forced to leave their homes. WCK represents everything that Metallica and our All Within My Hands foundation stand for by providing meals with dignity and hope worldwide,” added drummer Lars Ulrich.
