According to Billboard, BMG has made its initial descent into book publishing, and all the way at the bottom of that announcement came a very metal nugget. The publishing company will be releasing For The Sake Of Heaviness sooner or later, which is a memoir of Metal Blade Records founder and CEO Brian Slagel with a foreword from Metallica's Lars Ulrich.
Considering Slagel is one of the dudes who ultimately helped metal become a worldwide phenomena, this is going to be one hell of a read! Some of Metal Blade's initial released include titles from Slayer, Celtic Frost, Fates Warning, Voivod, Cryptic Slaughter, Sodom, and the dude even helped discover some little-known band called Metallica.
So Slagel is kinda important.
