About two weeks ago we covered Havok dropping off the upcoming Megadeth, Amon Amarth, Suicidal Tendencies, and Metal Church tour. Havok alleged Dave Mustaine's management company screwed them out of money, Dave's son/manager Justis alleged Havok was being unreliable and ridiculous, and it all ended with Dave's PR people reaching out and saying Lillake would be opening the tour.
Unfortunately, that isn't the case either. Frontman and guitarist for Lillake, Nico Santora, reached out this morning and said that while Lillake was considered, the band would be working on new material instead. He also says the band has signed with Mustaine Management, so clearly it's not any sort of bad blood situation!
There has been some talk that we are opening the upcoming Megadeth tour. Although we were considered for the slot, we will not be opening the tour, as we are deep in the writing process of a second album and have big plans for 2017 that does include touring with Megadeth.
In other news, we are very happy to announce that we will be working with Mustaine Management moving forward. We're all more than excited and grateful to have this opportunity, and are looking forward to working with Justis.
If you haven't heard Lillake's debut album yet, check it out below. It's easily one of the best albums this year!
