The new Shudder's Creepshow: From Script to Scream book features a special afterword from Metallica guitarist and known horror movie aficionado Kirk Hammett.
The book is a behind-the-scenes look at Greg Nicotero's Creepshow anthology series that began airing in 2019, and also features a foreword by horror legend Stephen King. Shudder's Creepshow: From Script to Scream was written by Dennis L. Prince, designed by John J. Hill, edited by Meredith Borders, and co-produced by Julia Hobgood.
"I grew up wearing down my fingertips paging through books on the making of my favorite movies," said Nicotero. "I was ravenous to learn the behind-the-scenes secrets. So, I'm excited to be able to present a glimpse behind the making of this epic show!"
"Stoked to share the announcement for Shudder’s Creepshow: From Script to Scream book! Such a great group of contributors!" added Hammett. Shudder's Creepshow: From Script to Scream is out October 25 and is available here for pre-order.
An afterword for Shudder’s Creepshow: From Script to Scream might not be all Hammett has been up to lately. Hammett revealed in a recent interview that Metallica wasn't exactly sitting on their asses doing nothing throughout the pandemic and that fans can draw their own conclusions. So y'know – there's totally a new Metallica record.
"Well, let's just say that over the Covid years, we weren't just sitting around on the couch texting each other, complaining about how we couldn't work," he said. "That was the exact opposite of what happened! We've been working through the lost years – so you can draw your own conclusions from that!"
