Ken Susi, guitarist for the Boston metalcore outfit Unearth, has confirmed that he is currently on hiatus from the band. Guitarist Peter Layman has been filling in for Susi on tour with band this year. Meanwhile, Susi has been busy as a touring member of As I Lay Dying.

Susi spoke about his situation in a recent livestream event, saying “I am currently on a leave with Unearth. It is an extended, I guess how would you say, an extended break from Unearth. There’s definitely some stuff there that is kind of – it’s cool, both myself and the band have kind of come to terms with you know, our differences of opinion on certain things. I love those guys and I’m still supporting them. I hope they’re still supporting me.”

Susi continued by saying, “I’m currently not a touring member of Unearth, and I’m not featured on the record. I have one song that’s on it – I don’t know the name of it, I don’t know how it sounds. I don’t know the mix. I don’t know anything about it. It is what it is.”
