She's not naming the kid Sandman.

Metallica fan Joice Figueiró became a mother during the band's show in Curitiba, Brazil on May 7. According to Figueiró's Instagram, she was 39 weeks pregnant and gave birth to Luan Figueiró during the band's 1991 classic "Enter Sandman."

"When would I imagine that I would be at the @metallica show at 39 weeks pregnant and this boy decides to be born right there, 3 songs before the show ends, at Couto Pereira to the sound of 'Enter Sandman?'" said Figueiró on Instagram at the time. "In every show I go to something has to happen, but this time I think I've outdone myself haha. Luan Figueiró came into the world on 5/7/2022 at 23:15 shaking all metal structures haha"

Figueiró has now revealed that Metallica frontman James Hetfield called her and her husband to congratulate them and wish them well. You can check out a short clip of that below, where you can hear Hetfield briefly say "This is James from Metallica. Congratulations, you guys."

Figueiró was also recently interviewed by The Washington Post, where she said the experience was a mix of emotions. "Since it wasn't planned, I was scared that the medical team wouldn't be ready. But there's also the feeling of being able to tell people that this happened because Metallica is one of the bands we love the most." Figueiró added she was in the handicap area and "was sitting down in a safe spot, without any risks of getting hurt."

Wisely, Figueiró didn't name the kid "Sandman" or anything ridiculous. "Remember, this is the name he'll carry throughout his whole life. He'll get bullied with the name 'Sandman.' He already has enough of a story to tell."
