My homies at MetalSucks are fucking geniuses. By way of pure investigation, they have uncovered that Meshuggah's highly anticipated new release, coming out March 27th will be called Colossus. How did they figure this out? By way of snooping around the label's German webstore, which clearly marks the new album from the 'shug as "Koloss" which is German for "colossus". But also, Meshuggah left a hint right in their cryptic message a few weeks ago, announcing the album release:
After a long time of deep soul searching and intense wrecking of the psyches, the new album is finally done. Soon you will meet this colossus that will pulverize your being. Welcome to the other side on March 27.
I would also like to point out that only a band like Meshuggah would warrant a post like this where I am speculating on a potential album title. Because I fucking love Meshuggah and I want to know everything about their releases as soon as the news comes out, and I'm assuming you junkies are the same way. And, could there be a more appropriate title for a piece of music made by the mighty Meshuggah? I think not. Now if only we could finally hear some music. You know it's going to be awesome. Also, what's the deal with this magic cube?
