Iron Maiden frontman Bruce Dickinson hasn't released a new solo album since 2005's Tyranny Of Souls, though that might change soon. Dickinson recently told Kaaos TV that he's got about half of an album written and that he's pretty sure he'd like to continue working on it.

Interestingly enough, one of the tracks Dickinson has for the album is "If Eternity Should Fail," which you might know as the opener for Iron Maiden's 2015 album The Book Of Souls. Dickinson says he originally penned it as a solo track for an album of the same title, and he'd like to do a slightly reworked version of it and use it for the potential record.

"If Eternity Should Fail" was the title track to my new solo album. And a bit like "Bring Your Daughter To The Slaughter," it got commandeered for Iron Maiden. So if I did do another solo album, which I think I will, I might just stick to my original plan and have that as the title track. I mean, I did write it — it was the first track that I wrote for it. So, yeah, I'd probably still include that song. But it would be… the feel would be slightly different — not very much, though — from the Maiden version.

So there you have it. A Bruce Dickinson album possibly still titled If Eternity Should Fail may or may not be coming out eventually.
