FLOOR JANSEN Replaces FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH At METALLICA's First 2023 Set Of Shows

Due to unforeseen circumstances.

Nightwish-23

Update: The April show will be the only show with Jansen, as Five Finger Death Punch plans to return in May.

Original story: Metallica will kick off their first 72 Seasons world tour shows on April 27 and 29 at the Johan Cruijff Arena in Amsterdam, Netherlands. The April 27 show will feature Architects and Mammoth WVH, and the April 29 show will now feature Ice Nine Kills and Floor Jansen in place of Five Finger Death Punch.

"Due to unforeseen circumstances, Five Finger Death Punch cannot join us Saturday in Amsterdam… stepping in for them will be Floor Jansen from Nightwish performing a solo set in support of her album, Paragon," wrote Metallica. "Thanks for joining us, Floor – can't wait to see your set!"

Five Finger Death Punch has not yet commented on what happened that has prevented them from playing the Netherlands. The next Five Finger Death Punch opening slot for Metallica will be at the Stade De France in Paris, France on May 19. An updated version of Metallica's tour dates are as follows.

As for 72 Seasons, it didn't quite hit the high sales mark of previous Metallica albums. 72 Seasons landed at the No. 2 spot on the Billboard 200 chart, and had the worst first week sales of any Metallica record in the Nielsen Soundscan era.
