Evan Brewer Says He Left THE FACELESS Due To Too Much Downtime

The Faceless marches on, as does Brewer.

The Faceless marches on, as does Brewer.

I'm not here to defend nor slam The Faceless or Michael Keene. I've been a fan since Akeldama hit the shelves and I anxiously await the band's next record – that's all I have to say on that matter, though many fans and authors have varying degrees of criticisms. The most recent of which being the band dropping off tour with Between The Buried and Me, and historically that the band's lineup is always changing.

In a recent interview, bassist Evan Brewer explains that he left the band with "no hard feelings" and that he's still interesting in what the group has to offer.

I definitely have tremendous interest in the band. I’ve always enjoyed their music and am eagerly awaiting the new album. Now, I’m just down there with the fans. I respect Michael [Keene] as a musician and I think he’s gonna make something really great. I just don’t know how long it will take him though, that’s part of the reason I left. Being a creative person, I crank things out all the time and the amount of time between records for The Faceless just felt extreme. I haven’t really talked to him. I think we’ll get back to a friendly level I would hope at some point, but that’s more on him than me. I’ve made it clear that I have no hard feelings.

The Faceless has made it known that it is putting the "finishing touches" on a new record currently.
