Nails proved a controversial band in 2016. Back in July, the band cancelled a run of UK dates and fans were pissed. The promoter at the time said that the band told him they were going on an extended hiatus, which was surprising.
Then, last week, we noticed the band announced they were releasing a split with Full of Hell in December, which is not normally what a band on hiatus does. Even more evidence that the hiatus was over was the band being announced for The Power of the Riff fest in December.
Team Rock reached out to Nails to get a comment and frontman Todd Jones offered this statement:
"We never went on hiatus, we just cancelled a bunch of dates.”
Well, that settles that right? Sure, Todd could've done his UK fans a service and explained why the tour was cancelled or he could've commented in July that the band wasn't going on hiatus, but what fun would that be?
