Did Mike Portnoy Really Sue DREAM THEATER?

Oy with this Dream Theater drama. I thought we were all moving past this, but this recent bit of news is too juicy not to talk about. New information has surfaced in the Courthouse News Service that shows Mike Portnoy filed a suit against his former bandmates, claiming they  "wrongfully excluded" him from the group and are "wrongfully using the name of the band in connection with [their] recording of an album without the participation or consent of [Portnoy]."  Also stating that the band and their management company "are wrongfully using the name of the band in connection with the promotion of live performances by the individual defendants, without the participation or consent of [Portnoy]."

Since the original story was posted on Blabbermouth, Portnoy chimed in on Twitter saying "Everyone needs to chill out" and that he would explain the reality of the situation but he is legally forbidden from talking about Dream Theater business matters. Portnoy then got his lawyer to contact Blabbermouth to assure them there is no pending litigation and that the document was not a formal complaint. So basically, it was just a bargaining tactic for Portnoy to get more money on the way out. I guess I can understand that.
