Irish filmmaker Emer Reynolds will release her documentary on legendary Thin Lizzy vocalist and bassist Phil Lynott titled Phil Lynott: Songs for While I'm Away this fall to Irish movie theaters. The documentary will feature interviews with Thin Lizzy members Eric Bell, Scott Gorham and Darren Wharton, Metallica vocalist and guitarist James Hetfield, U2 bassist Adam Clayton, songwriter and bassist Suzi Quatro, songwriter Huey Lewis, and Ultravox vocalist Midge Ure.
"We are so delighted that Phil Lynott: Songs for While I'm Away — our film about the legendary Phil Lynott — will soon be coming to the big screen!" said Reynolds. "We can't wait to share it with Irish audiences and to celebrate Philip and his extraordinary life and music."
"As always, we are incredibly proud of our Dad and we loved having the opportunity to look at the man behind the music with this film," added Lynott's daughters Sarah Lynott and Cathleen Howard-Lynott.
No release date for Phil Lynott: Songs for While I'm Away has yet been announced.
