CREED's Reunion Tour Is Surprisingly Popular With A Younger Crowd

"It's good to see a whole new generation of Creed fans out there."

Creed Reunited 2023

Creed recently announced their first tour since 2012 for summer 2024 and apparently it's really popular with people between 25 and 35 years old. According to guitarist Mark Tremonti in an interview with Belgian Jasper, Creed has a whole new generation of fans out there ready to see 'em live.

"When the tour went on sale, we get to see all the ages of people buying the tickets and if it's male, female or whatnot. And we were blown away to see that the biggest fanbase buying the tickets are between 25 and 35 years old. So a lot of these people were too young to be around when Creed was touring back in the day. So it's good to see a whole new generation of Creed fans out there."

Which makes sense, right? Anyone in that age range would've been (roughly) 13 to 23 when Creed last toured, and were even younger when Creed released their final album Full Circle in 2009. Then there's the fact that "With Arms Wide Open" and "Higher" becoming huge memes in the past few years, which is certainly helpful. Lookin' at you, Texas Rangers.

So yeah, love 'em or hate 'em, Creed remains popular into 2024. And I'm sure if this tour goes well and Creed ends up actually making some new music, they're not going away anytime soon.

As for the Creed reunion itself, Tremonti said the band has been plotting it since before COVID hit. "You just have to definitely be almost like a politician when you're talking about it," he said. "You've gotta say, 'Oh, you never know. When the timing is right.' You have your lines that you'll have in case that question comes up. And to be honest, we've been planning stuff and talking since before COVID about when the timing would be right. And when COVID hit, it kind of derailed things."

Creed will hit the road for a gargantuan reunion tour in summer 2024 mostly featuring 3 Doors Down and Finger Eleven as the openers.

Then, right in the middle of the tour, Creed has also announced their own Summer Of '99 And Beyond Festival. The festival will take place in San Bernardino, CA on August 31 at the Glen Helen Amphitheatre and will feature 3 Doors Down, Daughtry, Finger Eleven, Fuel, Vertical Horizon, and The Verve Pipe as support.
