CREED Probably Should've Made New Music Before Announcing Their Reunion

The short answer is "maybe."

Creed Reunited 2023

Creed recently announced their reunion tour for 2024. And much like every reunion tour that has ever happened, fans have already begun asking if there's new music on the way as well. According to Creed guitarist Mark Tremonti, there should've been but the band didn't realize they were still so popular.

"I'm not sure," said Tremonti in an interview with the Audio Ink Podcast. "If we knew this was going to do so well, we would have planned ahead of time and done new music beforehand. But from an outsider looking in, sometimes people are like, 'Yeah, just put out new music.'

"But we'd have to record it nine months ago to have it be ready now, kind of for the tour. If we started writing music now, it would take us months and months and months to write it and then months to record it and then six months of setting it up."

While there's nothing concretely in the works, Tremonti adds that he's always putting ideas away for potential new Creed music. "When I'm writing songs, and I go over ideas, I'm like, 'Wow, that would be a great Creed song,' and I kind of hold it aside for the day that that happens."

He added: "Some of the ballads on the Tremonti records, the diehard Tremonti fans love them, but I think they would have been bigger Creed songs, some of them."

Creed has a gargantuan reunion tour lined up for summer 2024 mostly featuring 3 Doors Down and Finger Eleven as the openers. Then, right in the middle of the tour, Creed has also announced their own Summer Of '99 And Beyond Festival. The festival will take place in San Bernardino, CA on August 31 at the Glen Helen Amphitheatre and will feature 3 Doors Down, Daughtry, Finger Eleven, Fuel, Vertical Horizon, and The Verve Pipe as support.
