Bolt Thrower, if anything, should be extremely respected in the metal world for sticking to it convictions. The band refused to follow up 2005's Those Once Loyal because it felt like its next batch of material wasn't up to snuff, and the band refused to replace its deceased drummer Matt "Kiddie" Kearns in order to carry on.
Earlier this week, Bolt Thrower made a pretty ambiguous announcement that alluded to the band ending, but didn't outright say it. Now frontman Karl Willets has confirmed to Metal Hammer that Bolt Thrower has indeed broken up.
"Yes, I can confirm that Bolt Thrower are definitely over for good. There will be no reunion tours etc…no compromise."
So long Bolt Thrower, and thanks for all the riffs. Let's listen to what would eventually become Bolt Thrower's final, and best, album in memoriam.
