CALIBAN Begin Work On New Album

Only a year after their 2012 release I Am Nemesis, German whatever-you-call-them-core Caliban are finishing up work on writing their ninth studio record.

According to main songwriter and guitarist for the band Marc Görtz:

Songwriting session in Berlin is coming to an end, 1 more day left! It was a lot of work, but worthy! Lots of crazy good material got done for the new albumCaliban !!!

Sweet deal! The band's 2012 release I Am Nemesis seems to have mixed reviews across the board, but for what it's worth I dug the record's honest approach to heaviness. Continuing on that path can only lead to good things… right? I'd read you off some of the fan's comments about the writing process to gauge how people are receiving the news of a new album on the way, but almost all of them are in German. So that kind of puts a damper on that idea! Thus I turn to you, readers; how excited are you about a new Caliban record?
