LORNA SHORE Cancel Tour & Delay Album

The band need to find a new vocalist.

Perhaps you missed it over the holiday break, but Lorna Shore abruptly fired vocalist CJ McCreery. While the band did not give any reasons for parting ways, shortly after, MetalSucks chronicled the accusations of sexual and emotional abuse (and racism) levied against McCreery. Now, the future of Lorna Shore is in doubt.

The band were scheduled to have a big January. They were to tour Asia this month and also release their Century Media debut, Immortal, on January 31st. The tour has been canceled. The album is being delayed and the band might be dunzo.

They offered this statement:

“ASIA :

“We are deeply saddened to announce that we will NOT be playing the shows we had scheduled there this month. Ourselves, and the booking agent tried everything we could to make this happen, but unfortunately it just couldn’t work.

“We promise to be back soon. We love you all and are very sorry we couldn’t make this happen.

“Edit: everyone asking about the album/future. you will know when we know. at this moment, there are discussions but nothing we can comment on.

“all we ask is please be patient.

“this will all be addressed soon.”

I can't see Immortal being released at the very least until the band are able to find a new vocalist and re-record the vocals.

Lorna Shore also has dates scheduled for March in Europe, but have not canceled them as of this writing. We'll keep you posted.

Update: We have heard from a source close to Lorna Shore that the reason for the cancelation was a visa issue. The band is still very much active and will be making some big announcements in the next weeks.
