Bruce Sinofsky was a filmmaker for over 30 years. In the metal world, he is perhaps best known for being one of the co-directors, along with longtime collaborator Joe Berlinger, of the Metallica Some Kind of Monster documentary that came out over 10 years ago. Sinofsky was also behind the Paradise Lost trilogy of films about the West Memphis Three, which helped bring much awareness to the three wrongfully accused trio, and ultimately helped set them free.

Deadline reports Sinofsky died on Saturday, Feb. 21st due to complications of diabetes. He was only 58 years old. Our thoughts go out to Bruce's family and friends.

Below, you can listen to part one of an interview with Sinofsky and collaborator Joe Berlinger as they discuss the making of Some Kind of Monster. Listen to part two here and part three here.
