There's some good news and some sad news today. The good news is that Mutoid Man will hit the studio this weekend to begin recording their fourth full-length album, and that the band has re-signed to Sargent House. The sad news is that the band has parted ways with bassist Nicholas Cageao.
In an Instagram Story statement from Cageao, he said he's working on bettering himself and will continue to make music.
"Hey! I'm no longer in Mutoid Man," said Cageao. "Nothing but love for the camp and family I've made there. I needed [some] big changes in my life to get healthy and focused and this is how it manifested itself. I'll probably still put out music that now none of you will care about."
Mutoid Man will be joined in the studio by a currently-unknown bassist. Mutoid Man is currently vocalist and guitarist Stephen Brodsky (Cave In, Old Man Gloom) and drummer Ben Koller (Killer Be Killed, Converge).
