Abbath's debut solo self-titled album that came out earlier this year was pretty good, though I firmly believe the band can one up itself. The record isn't horrible, but it just felt a little consistent at times. So we'll see what happens in 2017 when Abbath comes out with its follow-up to the debut!
The band took to Facebook to announce that it's rehearsing new material for an upcoming album, though I'm confused about the lineup. Abbath says he's rehearsing with drummer Creature, who is
Kevin Foley of Benighted, but Creature left the band… so is he back? Or is this just a Gwar-type thing where every drummer is Creature, regardless of who's behind the mask?
Either way, new Abbath 2017.
