73% Of Concert Goers In A Survey Said They Don't Mind Phone Use At Shows

Turns out most people just don't care.

Turns out most people just don't care.

A Perfect Circle recently ejected 60 people from a show in Pennsylvania because they were filming the show on their shows after the band had stated nobody was allowed to. This is hardly the first time the battle between artists and fans using their phones at shows has come up, though now we've got an actual survey to let the world know how fans actually feel.

Ticketing outlet Skiddle recently surveyed 1,200 people between the ages of 16 and 30, and a whopping 73% said they don't mind if people use their phones. According to Music Radar, about half of that 73% said they like filming it to relive the experience after the show, while roughly 25% of that 73% said they wanted to share the footage on social media.

The 27% who said they didn't like phones at shows said they found phones distracting and that they take away something from the experience. Of that 27%, 8% said they just feel like photography is disrespectful to the artist. Personally, I'm still against phones at shows, but this survey clearly shows I'm in the minority for that small sample size.
