SLOMATICS Covers DOMKRAFT's "Dustrider" For Coming Split

And Domkraft covered Slomatics for the same reason.

Slomatics

Slomatics and Domkraft are covering each other's material on their coming split Ascend/Descend. Slomatics is taking on Domkraft's "Dustrider" which you can check out below, while Domkraft is taking on "And Yet It Moves."

"'Dustrider' was for me a real standout from the first Domkraft album. It was so simple and yet so driving and atmospheric," said Slomatics. "Totally transportive, like it gave me the feeling of travelling at high speed. I was amazed when the Domkraft lads told me it had been written pretty much in the studio, almost without any real plan, as it is such a perfectly formed song.

"When we were choosing which Domkraft song to cover, this was top of the list. Trying to just copy a unique sound like Domkraft would be impossible, so when we approached 'Dustrider' we decided to try and interpret what they do rather than just emulate it. There's a fragility to their melody under all that psychedelic noise, so we tried to bring that out by stripping the song down, using synths instead of fuzz boxes. Hopefully we've captured some of the spirit of the original."

Ascend/Descend is out April 22. Pre-orders are available here.
