We've already heard one new track from Skeletonwitch's upcoming full-length, Devouring Radiant Light – the galloping madness of "When Paradise Fades" – and today, we get another taste.
The band posted "Temple of the Sun" and it really leans into the band's more black metal sounds. Take a listen:
Trevor from The Black Dahlia Murder gave the new album a stellar review in his most recent Obituarist column for us, writing "Evolving past their more simplistic balls-out thrash roots to this longwinded eclectic and artful black metal style is a very welcome surprise. Who knew Skeletonwitch could emote like this? Not me. This record belongs largely to Scott Hedrick, who took the reins of most of the songwriting on what feels like a rebirth for the band." He's got plenty more to say about the album here.
Devouring Radiant Light is out July 20th. Pre-order here.
