Trivium recently unveiled their re-recording of "Pillar Of Serpents" from the 2003 record Ember To Inferno. The song was originally a Japanese bonus track not available for streaming. Now in keeping with that theme of rolling out previously unavailable material, Trivium just posted their cover of Type O Negative's "I Don't Wanna Be Me". I guess Trivium has a thing about updating material from 2003, huh?
The cover sticks pretty much to the original, guitar effects and all, though Matt Heafy's voice has a much different tonality than Peter Steele's. But let's be real with ourselves here – there will never be another Peter Steele, and Trivium did a good job with this cover.
