Last year it was basically impossible to escape Khemmis's sophomore album Hunted on year-end lists. The album was widely loved for its incredible songwriting, vocals, instrumental work, and overall just breathing a fresh breath of life into the doom scene.
Now Khemmis is back with a split with Spirit Adrift called Fraught With Peril, which sees both bands covering classic Southern folk tracks. Khemmis chose "A Conversation With Death," and absolutely nailed it. The a Capella parts are very well done, and when the band kicks in, it's like Khemmis wrote the original track.
