FORETOKEN Rides Into The Mist With New Single "The Wraith That Weeps"

Foretoken

Foretoken is here to ride into the mist and tell you the tale of La Llorna, The Weeping Woman, with their latest single "The Wraith That Weeps." Equal parts galloping heavy metal and terror-inducing black metal, "The Wraith That Weeps" is a journey you're absolutely taking more than once today. It's too good not to.

"For this song I tried to channel my death and tech-death roots to create something dark and complex," said guitarist and orchestrator Steve Redmond. "Having Hannes Grossmann on drums really allowed me push the music to be more extreme at times and I think this track is a good example of that."

"We're really happy with how this song turned out as it showcases one of the things we try to do in our songs which is storytelling," added vocalist Dan Cooley. "The use of classical guitar and blackened death metal rhythms created an excellent canvas for us to bring a haunting story about La Llorna, The Weeping Woman, to life."

Foretoken will release their new record Triumphs on March 17. Triumphs features drummer Hannes Grossmann (Eternity's End, Howling Sycamore, Triptykon, etc.) throughout all its tracks, as well as a guest guitar solo from The Black Dahlia Murder guitarist Brandon Ellis on the track "A Tyrant Rises As Titans Fall."

Pre-orders for Triumphs are available here.
